Dr Louisa Gianacas – Clinical Psychologist

Dr Louisa Gianacas is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the field of Psycho-Oncology Since 2005. During this time, Louisa has gained extensive experience treating mental health issues such as anxiety disorders, depression and adjustment problems within the cancer community. In doing so, she has developed a unique understanding of the specific challenges and issues confronting patients living with cancer, their partners, carers and families. In addition to provision of individual therapy, Louisa has been involved in research, facilitated multiple therapeutic group programs and addressed numerous patient and community groups about psychology and cancer. She completed an international sabbatical in 2008 to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in NYC specifically relating to survivorship and living well after treatment. Louisa is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society and the Australian College of Clinical Psychologists.

 

Domini Stuart – Author and Presenter

As a speaker, Domini draws on her own experiences to demonstrate how small steps can help us to build physical and emotional resilience. She has written books on coping with breast cancer, staying well for life and managing the emotional aspects of overeating and produced a DVD of simple yoga exercises. As a journalist she is a regular contributor to business publications including Company Director, Listed@ASX and NAB’s online business, health and agriculture magazines. She has also written articles on health and work-life balance for My Business, the Sunday Telegraph and Wellbeing.
